Events Assistant Coordinator

The Events Assistant Coordinator (EAC) shall assist the Events Cooridinator in coordination of all major events in the Oceanic Region as it applies to events that involve aircraft and ATC. EAC shall assist in gathering the necessary data and info on any events of national or international involvement and shall coordinate the events with all the individual ARTCCs and countries as appropriate.

He/she shall assist in making things happen and shall be responsible to bring the membership together for any special event.

Duties:

  • · Assist the creation and execution of divisional events
  • · Providing assistance to Events HQ or other divisions as appropriate for international events
  • · Determination if an event is of national or international involvement or if it may be considered a local event.
  • · Announcement of special events to the membership by forum, website and social media channels.
  • · Ensuring all flight plans and/or active ATC positions should be confirmed with the AOC, FIR chiefs and/or FOC.
  • · Organising one event per month.

Training Advisor

A Training advisor shall assist the Oceanic Region Training Department in matters of training the Division's members in all areas of flying and ATC as it pertains to IVAO, observing all applicable rules and regulations.

He/she shall examine, grade and evaluate exams to the extent required by IVAO HQ, under the supervision of the AU-TC / AU-TAC.

Duties:

  • · Assist the Oceanic Region Training Coordinator and assistant Corrdinator
  • · Provide training to ATC and Pilot ‘students’, on individual request
  • · Provide training to ATC and Pilots, at on-line group training sessions
  • · Take practical ATC and Pilot examinations
  • · Take practical ATC assessments in accordance with our GCA policies
  • · Provide information and explanation on ATC and Pilot procedures in general
  • · Assist in preparation of training documents, sessions, and other training activities
  • · Be regularly available to assist and answer questions while logged-in on-line

Skills:

  • · Good expression in and understanding of English language
  • · More than average knowledge of ATC and/or piloting (VFR and IFR) in general
  • · Ability to present such knowledge in an easy and understandable way
  • · Preferably sufficient knowledge of commonly used aircraft, FMC programming, instrument navigation, etc.

Membershp Assistant Coordinator

The Membership Assistant Coordinator (MAC) shall assist the Membership Cooridinator in resolving all matters of concerns of the membership. This person shall be able to maintain members database with minimum data on each member of the Oceanis Region. This data shall be limited to the most current data in the IVAO database. Staff notes and miscellaneous info shall be kept by the MC/MAC and shall be able to produce the necessary reports to the Director or Assistant Director

He/she shall shall be able to spend a minimum of 4 hours weekly online, but not necessarily consecutive. A random exposure to the members will ensure that the membership in general has an opportunity to ask questions and address issues online if needed

Duties:

  • · Suggestions or recommendations of others for appointments
  • · Suggesting training where training may be needed
  • · Helping others in preparation for occupying a position.
  • · Assistance with creation and administration of divisional tours.
  • · Assist in validating Division Tour legs and Online Paricipation awards.
  • · Issuance of divisional awards for completion of tours and other "reportable" events .

Public Relations Coordinator

The Public Relations Department is the marketing branch of the division.
Public Relations will assist the division in getting the news and activities out to the IVAO community as well as the flight simulator community.
Advertisements, marketing, and being a liaison between the division and Public Relations HQ is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • - Creating banners/images for events, tours, and other activities in the division
  • - Advertise events and activities and other divisional news on the forums and other means of social media/marketing
  • - In charge of the Facebook and Twitter pages of the division
  • - Divisional survey which is required to be issued annually
  • - Coordinating or being present at the real world PR events such as Expo's/Airshows
  • - All marketing matters relating to the division
  • - Coordination between different departments as well as Public Relations HQ Requirements:
  • - Must be able to spend a minimum of 4 hours weekly online, but not necessarily consecutive
  • - Must observe all the IVAO and XO Division rules and be a member in good standing
  • - Must have a good rapport with peers and be able to provide good references in the IVAO network
  • - Must be able to be online for a minimum of 5 hours a week for initial evaluation
  • - Must not have any suspensions on record for the last two years that have not been clarified or cleaned-up
  • - Must be at least 18 years old
  • - Must be familiar with basic marketing tools used by the XO division, such as Facebook, Twitter, etc.
  • - Must be familiar with creating images using Photoshop, Macromedia Fireworks, etc.
  • - Must be familiar with the global forum on IVAO as well as other flight simulator forums
  • - Must have an aptitude to get the IVAO XO Division’s name out and deliver information to current, new, and prospective members regarding Divisional activities
